I’ve really only started traveling in the past 3-4 years. I wish this list were longer but I have plenty of time for it to grow.
I will only count countries that I remember spending a significant amount of time in – as in, drove through – stopped, saw some sights, etc.
1. Canada – I went when I was 10-11 with my dad and two sisters – we went to Niagara Falls and Toronto. It was neat from what I remember.
2. Austria – I was 18 years old and I went with my ex to visit his family. It was the beginning of March and it was really cold. It was my first time in Europe and I thought where he was from (Dornbirn) looked just like the Sound of Music. It was in the middle of the Alps, with snow tipped peaks. It was gorgeous.. .and cold.
3. Germany – I count Germany because my ex and I flew through Munich and drove to Austria which was about a 2 hour ride. But we stopped and saw some sights. It was okay. I was pretty jetlagged but I thought it was neat to drive on the autobahn.
4. Bahamas – I’ve been twice – once on a cruise, the other time for a wedding. It’s gorgeous and I would love to go back. It’s a great place to relax and just have fun. The beaches are amazing.
5. Guatemala – my favorite country to date. It’s so full of culture, beauty and life. I love it. I’ve been twice and will definitely be going back to visit plenty of times.
6. Costa Rica – another beautiful country in Central America. The beach I went to was great, the food was amazing and I loved their care-free attitude. I would definitely go back.
7. Colombia – what an amazing country. So similar but so very different than Guatemala. The terrain that I traveled through was so different each time – from the city, through the Andes and then the beaches of Cartagena. Such differences throughout each of the cities/towns that I went through. And the Colombians are gorgeous people.
8. Soon… Peru…
And many more countries to visit! And I cannot wait to continue adding them to my list.
